Our Indigenous Trainee Program offers indigenous people with little or no experience in the mining industry the opportunity to enter our workforce and be trained as either:
- a Truck Driver in the Super Pit; or
- a Process Technician in the Fimiston Gold Processing Plant.

As part of the application process, you will be required to undertake a medical, drug and alcohol screen, and police check.
Our Truck Drivers are trained to drive dump trucks, moving rocks from the Super Pit to the Fimiston Gold Plant for Processing.
To apply for one of these positions you must:
- Be living locally
- Have a MARCSTA Safety Induction
- Have a current unencumbered Medium Rigid (MR) or Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence
Truck drivers work shift work on a roster of 7 days on, 3 days off, 7 nights on, 4 days off. They work 12 hour shifts from 6 till 6.
Our Process Technicians are trained to manage and monitor work-stations within the Fimiston Gold Processing Plant.
To apply for one of these positions you must:
- Be living locally
- Have a MARCSTA Safety Induction
- Have a current unencumbered WA C class driver’s licence
Process Technicians work shift work on a roster of 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 days off. They work 12 hour shifts from 6 till 6.
